ट्रेनी डॉक्टर से दरिंदगी मामले में संजय रॉय को उम्रकैद

कोलकाता : कोलकाता के सरकारी आरजी कर मेडिकल कालेज व अस्पताल में प्रशिक्षु महिला डाक्टर से दरिंदगी मामले में सियालदह कोर्ट ने सोमवार को दोषी सिविक वालंटियर संजय राय को आजीवन कारावास की सजा सुनाई। अतिरिक्त जिला व सत्र न्यायाधीश अनिर्बाण दास ने यह फैसला सुनाया।
गत शनिवार को संजय को भारतीय न्याय संहिता की धारा 64 (दुष्कर्म), 66 (दुष्कर्म के बाद मौत) व 103 (1) (हत्या) के तहत दोषी ठहराया गया था। सीबीआइ इस मामले की जांच कर रही थी। पिछले साल नौ अगस्त को अस्पताल के सेमिनार हाल से महिला डाक्टर का शव बरामद हुआ था। घटना के अगले दिन संजय को गिरफ्तार किया गया था। इस मामले में 51 लोगों का बयान दर्ज किया गया।

सुनवाई के दौरान संजय ने क्या कहा?

संजय को सोमवार को बेहद कड़ी सुरक्षा में अदालत में पेश किया गया। मृतका के माता-पिता भी वहां मौजूद थे। सुनवाई के दौरान संजय ने फिर खुद को निर्दोष बताते हुए उसे फंसाए जाने का आरोप लगाया।
बता दें कि इससे पहले न्यायाधीश ने कहा था कि सजा सुनाने से पहले संजय को एक बार फिर बोलने का मौका दिया जाएगा। जज ने फैसला सुनाने से पहले संजय से पूछा कि आपके परिवार वालों ने आपसे कोई संपर्क किया था या नहीं। इसके जवाब में संजय ने कहा कि नहीं।
सीबीआइ के वकील ने फैसले की प्रक्रिया शुरू होने के दौरान कहा कि यह विरलतम मामला है। प्रशिक्षु चिकित्सक समाज की सेवा का कार्य कर रही थीं। उनके साथ जघन्य अपराध किया गया था। दोषी को मृत्युदंड की सजा की मिलनी चाहिए ताकि समाज में आस्था बरकरार रहे। वहीं दूसरी ओर संजय के वकील ने कहा कि फांसी के बदले कोई वैकल्पिक सजा दी जाए। 

आरजी कर कांड का घटनाक्रम

  • 9 अगस्त, 2024 : आरजी कर अस्पताल के आपातकालीन विभाग की चौथी मंजिल के सेमिनार हाल से प्रशिक्षु महिला चिकित्सक का शव बरामद, पुलिस ने दर्ज किया मामला।
  •  10 अगस्त : कोलकाता पुलिस ने आरोपित सिविक वालंटियर संजय राय को गिरफ्तार किया, जूनियर डाक्टरों ने शुरू किया विरोध-प्रदर्शन।
  • 13 अगस्त : कलकत्ता हाई कोर्ट ने मामले का संज्ञान लिया, जांच का जिम्मा कोलकाता पुलिस से सीबीआइ को सौंपा।
  • 14 अगस्त : मामले की जांच के लिए 25 सदस्यीय सीबीआइ टीम का गठन, फारेंसिक टीम भी बनाई गई।
  • 14 व 15 अगस्त की दरमियानी रात : आरजी कर कांड के खिलाफ ‘रिक्लेम द नाइट’ अभियान के दौरान भीड़ ने आरजी कर अस्पताल में घुसकर तोड़फोड़ की।
  • 18 अगस्त : सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने लिया घटना का स्वत: संज्ञान।
  • 21 अगस्त : सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने केंद्रीय बलों को आरजी कर अस्पताल की सुरक्षा संभालने का दिया निर्देश
  • 24 अगस्त : मुख्य आरोपित के साथ छह अन्य के लाई डिटेक्शन टेस्ट किए गए।
  • 25 अगस्त : सीबीआइ ने अस्पताल के पूर्व प्रिंसिपल संदीप घोष समेत अन्य के आवास पर की छापामारी
  • 2 सितंबर : संदीप घोष को अस्पताल में वित्तीय भ्रष्टाचार के आरोप में किया गया गिरफ्तार।
  • 14 सितंबर : सीबीआइ ने संदीप घोष और एफआइआर दर्ज करने में देरी और सुबूत मिटाने के आरोप में टाला थाने के प्रभारी अभिजीत मंडल को किया गिरफ्तार।
  • 3 अक्टूबर : न्याय की मांग पर भूख हड़ताल पर बैठे जूनियर डाक्टर।
  • 7 अक्टूबर : संजय राय के खिलाफ सीबीआइ ने दाखिल की चार्जशीट
  • 21 अक्टूबर : मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी के साथ बैठक के बाद जूनियर डाक्टरों ने खत्म की भूख हड़ताल
  • 4 नवंबर : सियालदह कोर्ट में संजय राय के खिलाफ सीबीआइ ने आरोप तय किए।
  • 11 नवंबर : सियालदह कोर्ट में मामले में ट्रायल शुरू हुआ।
  • 12 नवंबर : चार्जशीट दाखिल करने में देरी के कारण अभिजीत मंडल और संदीप घोष को जमानत मिली
  • 29 नवंबर : सीबीआइ ने अस्पताल में वित्तीय भ्रष्टाचार के मामले में 125 पन्नों की चार्जशीट दाखिल की।
